Late summer suntan

With skin so hot, it will melt you popsicle!
Or not, but still :p
_____________________________________________

So, im not quite the tanning person myself. I used to be, but i have begun to fear the whole skincancer nightmare toomuch to take the risk of real sun or sunbeds. Not that i wear big hats and sunscreen all over when i go out, cause i dont..(even thoug we probably should do so) But i don't lie in the sun and fry for hours for a tan. I cheat!

I don't like being pale but im normally to lazy to use my self-tanners too often. But when i do so, i have my favourites :)

In first place i have my absolute favourite. "The instant tan gel" from Gosh. It's a dark brown almost blackish gel you rub all over your body and face and the color immediately gives you a nice tan. It dosn't at all smell like a selftanner, but like a soap or something. And thats thumbs of for me! And it comes of when you shower.

In second placei have my "Sommer Glow bodylotion" by Dove. This one in the picture is with shimmer buti use the regular as well. Its just your typical bodylotion with a gradual tan. But i like this one cause to my it seems less oreangy and doesn't has as strong a odour as others. Thumbs up!

And in third place i have my "Tan-in-a-can" by Sunspa.I only use this if im going somerwhere big and really want a tan. It's a good spray tan for homeuse with no streaking because of the aerosol can. But it smells like a traditional spraytan, sadly.. But it's still worth it when you wanna go allover! Deffinetly easier then with a gelor lotion you have to rub in.

Enjoy the last bits of summer!
We are just moments away from covering ourselfs all up for the new season

Eyerliners - Favourites and newbies

Eyeliners! .. A girls best friend (next to a mascara)!
                     _____________________________________________________________

In my opinion a eyeliner is just as importent as a mascara. Most times anyways! My absolute favourite must be one i discovered like a couple of months ago.

1# The Maybelline eyestudio lasting drama gel eyeliner 24H in Black.
It is a perfectly creamy consistency with a solid color and with no sheen. It comes with a little brush which is actually pretty descent! Its a little flat  brush which makes it possible to controle the thickness of your line when your doing your eyeliner.

And the reasn its my favourite.. it really does last!! 24hours im not sure, but if i put it on and go out at night, partying or what not, and come home and fall asleep with my makeup one - its still good when i wak up! No THATS and amazing eyeliner! Thumbs up for this little pot of magic!

Im not really sure what it cost, but i think it was just about 100kr - which is just under 20 us dollars.

A good cheaper ''dupe'' for the maybeline one is the Wet'N'Wild Mega eyes cream liner in Black. Its about half´the price of the maybelline and pretty good at the cost. But ofcause its not as good quality. The packeging is plastic and not glass like the maybelline one and the brush is a poor excuse of a brush. But the product itselfe feels exactly like the maybelline one. But it dryes out about amonth after opening thoug.. but i think that is because of the poor packeging and not the product.

1# Liquid eyeliner - Rimmel Glam'eyes
This is a really good liquid eyeliner! I just reasently bought this,  Its a brush and not a felttip, but if your used to aply liquid eyeliner its not a problem. Its a solid color (unlike my former fab - the l'oreal carbon liner) and it hasn't got a sheen like the l'oreal one either. The price is very nice too, i believe i paid about 60kr for it because of a discount the store had.

Another good one is a liner from Nivea, i cant remember the full name but it was rich in color and with a brush just like this one. Only con is that it could feel like it was ''stinging' a little near the lashes when you apply it. (never expeirenced that with any other :s)

1# Kôhl pencil liner - Maybeline KôhlExpress liner

I dont use kôhlpencils that often but when i do i love to use the maybeline KôhlExpress! Its affordable and its rich in color, easy to blend and if you set it with a bit of black shadow it stays put. So, thumbs op for another little maybelline miracle!

H&M miniature haul + summerday in cph

Blablabla intro ..

So, as both me and my boyfriend has got vacation we chose to spend the day going for a boat tour of copenhagens canals and habors. It cost 70kr pr person and the tour was for 1 hour with a guide :) Ofcourse as we're both raised in the suburbs of copenhagen we knew all the things we saw on the tour but non of us had gone on a canaltour for about 10 yearsor more. And it was also still very nice since we had perfect weather and copenhagen is so beautyful in the summer. We can really recommend it if your ever in copenhagen :)

After our tour we walked from Nyhavn where the tour ended and to the central station. And to do so we walked from one end of Strøget to the other. (Strøget; The most famous shoppingstreet in copenhagen)

THE MINI HAUL!

Along the way we promised eachother we wouldn't go shopping as we could use the entire day doing so. But after eating lunch a gave in and let him go to FootLocker to buy some new trainers. And in exchange i got like 5minutes in H&M! (he won't let me stay in there for longer cause a could literally be gone for hours!)

I didn't spend a lot but i got just a few minor things.

First of all i'v tried a whole lot of eyebrow pencils, and one of those i like the most is actually a dirt cheap one from H&M. They used to call it "Blonde" but they changed the name to "Light Brown", still the same color though. So i grapped one of those. It was 19,95kr.

The second thing a got was a nailpolish. I was actually gonna buy a turqoise/blu-greenish color since it's the color of summer 2011, but i know that its just gonna sit at home and never be worne as i'm terrible at wearing bold and bright colored nailpolishes unless it's a red og pink/fusia.

So i bought another pink one. I normally love to where H&M's Pink mist (i think thats what it's called) and it's a very flattering natural nude pink colour, but today i grapped one called "Get a rose 4 me" which is a beautyful dusty pink. It was 39,95kr.

Thirdly i bought a face powder. I like to set my foundation with a powder, preferibly a pressed/compact powder. I've also used a lot of differint ones; dior, rimmel, max factor, manhatten clear face, the body shop and l'oreal, if not more.                                       And i don't have anything bad to say about those (except maybe the price) but i once had an emergency and needed a powder and i just bought a cheap one in H&M thinking i wasn't gonna use it again. But i actually liked the Compact Powder, just as much as most of the others! It's like a translucent powder in 11 Ivory Mist and with a good kabukibrush it doesn't go on "caky".

I also got a black metal hairband with a thin fake leathertrim. 19,95kr.

The last thing i bought is a cardholder. It's like a mini-wallet, practical for when your going out at night or carrying a small handbag or a clucth. It was only 24,95kr and in additional bonus i unperposely bought one in a color macthing my phone perfectly!

My new straightner!

Yaay!  A couple of days a go, my boyfriend apparently had decided to spoil me just a bit. He surpriced me on a shoppingtrip and bought me a new straightener and curlingiron. I was so thrilled since i had wanted both of those for quite a while. (I'll write a review of the curlingiron in a following post.)

Th straightner is a Straight & Curl straightner from OBH NORDICA's Björn Axén collection. Björn Axén is what i can understand one of sweedens best hairtool brands.

It has got a turn button to set the temp. up to 210 degrees celcius. It came with a hotsolid bag so you can pack it up and get on the go right away after using. Its just as good as my friends GHD and is made specificly to both curl and straighten! Score!
And i quite like the design. All black with black ceramic movable plates for better grip of  the hair. Furthermore it has got a long cord and a safte turn-off function. I'm in looove with it!<3

Overall, i'm very pleased! You can definitly go out and by this!

Which straightner do you recommend?

How i dye my hair

The art of dying your hair at home!
I dye my hair every 4 to 6 weeks, and to do so I use the Garnier Belle color home hair color treatment in the color Extra Bright Ash blonde/111.
I've used this color for about 2-2½ years now, and im very pleased with the results. Its called 'natural results' in danish and thats what i belive it is. Not a brassy color like most blonde dyes tend to be.

Before and after

When i dye my hair i do at 6 easy steps.

1. I comb my hair so theirs no knots and tanglings.

    2. I poor the developer and the dye in a porcelain bowl. (Could be plastic but i like porcelain. Any kinda a bowl that won't be stained by the dye will work just the same)
    3. Then i mix the to thoroughly together with my coloring brush! Mix mix mix!
4. I make a straight parting in my hair with a fine comb or the tip of my coloring brush.

5. Then i use my haircoloring brush to apply the dye directly onto the roots. With the comb or brush i make another parting about an inch from the previous, and repeat.

(I don't do this on my entire head. I actually only do at roots from my left ear to my right ear and opwards. The neck i leave being my natural dark blonde colour. It gives it a more naturel look and lets me were my hair up without any roots showing in the back :))

6. And then for the easy peasy step. The waiting! I believe the box says it should be left in for about 20minutes. Tik tok. And then i rinse and lather with my normal shampoo.
(i dont use the following treatment cause it makes no difference and my own conditioner is way better!)

And that's it!

Go Blonder!

Summer has finally arrived in Denmark, ans it has brought plenty of sunshine and temperatures that lures you outdoors. That means that it's time to go lighter n' brighter with a more 'Sun kissed look' for our locks.

I usually dye my hair every 4 -6 weeks - my medium blonde roots only, not my entire head. But I have for a long time wanted to complement the hair dying with the John Frieda Go Blonder Shampoo from their Sheer Blonde collection.

The Go Blonder shampoo claims to gradually lighten your hair and give it a sparkling Sun kissed look. And if it works as so, it means I can postpone dying my hair a little each time and thereby reduce the damage to my hair.

The packaging is similar to the other products from John Frieda. The product itself is bright pearly yellow with a scent just like their Tone Restoring shampoo, which is a bit odd since the brightening ingredients in Go Blonder is chamomile and lemon and the tinting ingredient in tone Restoring is lavender, which should lead to slightly
different scents..

I've tried The Tone Restoring shampoo and conditioner, which should reduce brassiness in blond hair, but I’ve not really seen the large color difference, so it's with a bit of skepticism i try the Go Blonder .. But here goes!

... I've now tried it and I must say that it had a slightly stronger smell / scent once i got it in my hair and lathered.

They get awat quite easily by calling it a ''gradueal lighting'' cause my hairs is only tini tiny little bit lighter then before. And that just might be my imagination! You can see for yourself and judge the results. Tell me what you think?
... pics are coming up, sorry! :)
